Volunteer Internships

Internships at CAC not only serve to earn licensure or practicum hours but also help serve the needs of the community. Interns at CAC gain experience available in few other venues. The depth of experience and the peer relationships you develop here will serve you throughout your career.

We are very selective in the therapists we recruit. Coming from a belief that there is not just one way to do therapy – or a time limit to one’s unique healing, growth and life cycles – we welcome candidates who embrace diversity; thrive in a learning environment that promotes conversation, critical thinking, and creative exploration; and are engaged in their own personal growth.

What We Ask

Minimum caseload of 8 ongoing weekly clients
Minimum 6-month commitment

In person & telehealth sessions
Pre-grad supervision for LPC, LMFT & MSW tracks
Networking with over 70+ volunteer therapists
Up to 8 different peer groups available throughout the week offering support, feedback, & learning

Pre-graduate Application Windows

(Pre-grad is defined as an individual in a Master’s program who has not yet graduated from that program and is seeking an internship to complete requirements for their Master’s Degree)

For Spring start dates, application are accepted starting October 1st.

For Summer start dates, applications are accepted starting February 1st.

For Fall start dates, applications are accepted starting May 1st.

We are currently not accepting post-graduate intern applications
